Tech Tuesday # 7  10th February, 2015

Hello, this Tuesday I thought I would talk about the new Samsung TV, some of you may have read or seen things about this new TV that may be listening to your conversations for the purpose of marketing.

Is it an invasion of personal space, of our liberties? Quite possibly, it is up to you to decide. Some may say they have nothing to hide and it doesn’t matter, some of you maybe a little troubled, but in fact this is not a new thing. Continue reading Tech Tuesday # 7  10th February, 2015

The week #12 8th February, 2015

Hello everyone to ‘The Week!’. For new readers this is a segment where I write about things that have taken my fancy this week, usually news based but sometimes not depending on what my opinions are of said topic, and what’s on my mind when I sit down to write this. So, this week I thought I would stay away from Ukraine, as I’ve already talked about that situation a fair amount (for those interested, have a look at some of the old weeks in the top bar of the site) instead I will be focusing on isis once more. There is a definite theme that I’ve noticed with the news skipping between Syria Central Africa and Ukraine, with all three regions gripped in troublesome wars, so what isis up to now!

Tech Tuesday #6 3rd February, 2015

Right well then there are really two things to talk about this week, as I see it, snapchat and developer/ game players. So let’s jump in to a bit of tech, I do use that term loosely – again I live on a hill so slowest internet ever!) Snapchat the app – that is mainly used to sent people intimate images. Come on; let’s not kid around here – that’s what it is used for. People say to me ”Oh, I only use it to see my friends stupid faces” are lying. Then Snapchat decided to get rid of the best friends feature on it – that sneak little feature that apparently most modern relationships are built on.

#5 Tech Tuesday and on top of that a new minecraft video

Hello guys, our newest Minecraft video is out aswell, check it out here >>> http://bit.ly/1yLycl9  after you read Tech Tuesday of course. this Tuesday I’m going to talk about hacking and its effect. This is quite a timely article with the ‘apparent’ attack by Lizard squad, that bunch of idiots who decided to take down Xbox and Playstation over Christmas. First we need to look at hacking.

Tech Tuesday #4 20th January, 2015

Hello everyone, sorry I’m a bit late getting this out today but it has been a very long day today! I will not bore you with my personal life, instead I will talk about the social media beast that we are all part of in some way. I’ve covered viral in the past, people going viral and all that, now I’m going to turn my attention to the tweeter monster lurking on most people phones, an app that allows everyone one of us to announce whatever is on our mind to a sea of humanity. A perfect example of this is the recent Rupert Murdoch tweet, after the attacks in Paris were seen as insensitive and anti Islamic even if the overall message was that the Muslim community should work together to deter radicalisation was a fair a point, a point Britain’s own waste of space Prime Minister has talked about this week. My point being, with this example, is that now the world is at the tip off everyone’s fingers – in quite a personal way as a tweet is such small messages – and in a few words you can’t really get across what your point is.

The week #9 18th January, 2015

Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of ‘The Week’. After last week’s horrific scenes I’ve been thinking more about religion and my attention was also drawn with Rupert Murdoch’s tweets early in the week but that’s something I’ll delve into on Tuesday with my tech stuff. Today I’m going to talk more about religion and the after affects of the terrorist attacks last week. The first thing that’s jumped out at me is the anti Semitic voice that came via the media to the point that even the home secretary of the United Kingdom (where I live) has waded in. I think the media are making too much of the fact that the third gun man, during last week’s horror, ended up in a kosher supermarket. He may have intended to attack a Jewish business but from what I have read, it looks more to me that this guy had no plan and just ended up inside a supermarket – not that particular market.
