Hello everyone, so double figures! Check me out! This week I’m back on world issues, after our amble down the madness that is religion last week. So, what I’m going to talk about this week is Ukraine in more detail, then what’s happening in Greece, with a side note on Britain’s own political leaning, so buckle up.

The Week #8 11th January, 2015
Hello. Two months have flown by since I started this weekly commentary. The big news this week has been the attack in Paris, starting off with the disgusting and cowardly attack on the Charlie Hebdo offices on Wednesday, both men have now been killed by French security services after what looked like the two men having decided to make their final stand in a print works by charged out of the building and were shot. I assume that most of you, like me, have been following the tragic events from the attack on Wednesday to the gun man appearing on the streets of Paris killing a female police officer a few hours after the first attack and then the simultaneous events at the print works and the supermarket. In moments of tragedy humanity rises up, as shown by so many people in Paris holding a night vigil and a lot holding a simple pencil above their heads as an expression of support and the right to freedom of expression – the pen is mightier than the sword. Many did this even though there were at least three gun men still on the loose. What does this mean for most of us in the West, or all of us really who don’t want to be relegated back to the Stone Age?

The Week #7 4th January, 2015
Boko Haram have TODAY (The Week is on the ball!) captured a Nigerian army base and the town of Baga (or at least most of it) which is in northern Nigeria, along the border with Chad. This is the group, you may recall, that captured 219 school girls from their school in Chibok last April, a town south of the now captured town of Baga. The aim of Boko Haram is to stop western education, or any education that is not Islam theology. The extremists have demonstrated their objective in that the words Boko Haram translate in to “Western education is forbidden.” ISAF, NATO and the UN involvement in Afghanistan for the last 13 years has kept the western eyes firmly on the Middle East so extremist groups have found Africa a new and dynamic place to set themselves up. Boko Haram are one of this groups who know hold sway over 3 million people in Chad and Nigeria, they have been a terrorist group since 2002 with the Nigerian army and even UN peace keepers coming in to conflict with them but it wasn’t until 2013 that the United States branded them, why?
Youtube, Tech Tuesday.
So, entertainment, I will be honest and say I don’t really play a lot of games, except for the ones on our YouTube channel. It’s not because I don’t like gaming, it’s more because I enjoy writing more (strange, I know) I think this is because I’ve played games most of my life; from Nintendo 64 through to Playstation one, two, three and I’ve played a little on the PS4 (as you may of seen) so why have I fallen out with gaming? I think for me gaming was something interesting, something new, new worlds to explore, interesting stories to follow and unique characters. I think the issue for me is that gaming, in my mind, has become, dare I say, boring. I mean by this its stagnant. It is just rehashing of old games and the novelty has worn off for me. It’s the same with film too. I have alluded to this in a recent ‘The Week’ – everything is a bit too similar, a bit too predictable, a bit too easy. Take Call of duty ( where you’re some guy who will save the world from some other guy) and nobody really plays the story anymore anyway and that’s my issue, if there’s no story a game gets repetitive, boring and predictable. I’ve heard destiny is like this, repetitive. Perhaps the issue is that games have become so popular and therefore so overcrowded that it has become a toxic area.
RIDERS DO
