I recommend picking up the Horse Lord too, if you haven’t already, to truly meet all of my assembled cast before ‘The Games’ arrives. Both books are independent of each other but together you have a good insight into the back story in advance of the publication of ‘The Games’.  Rose’s story is more about uncertainty and magic while the horse lord is more straight out fighting and adventure.
